Performance

Although the contents of a site ideally appear in the browsers in just a few seconds, this is the result of a complex process that has several distinct steps. Your browser has to identify the server of the website, send and receive data packages and construct the web page based on the collected information.

With WebyMon you can examine each important phase of this process.

You can find information about the speed of the steps in a certain period if you click on the Performance tab after selecting a URL in our application.

While downloading a monitored page, we measure the speed of the following phases:

DNS Lookup

Connection

Request

Data transfer

And the content generation

You can read more about the steps that lead to the appearance of your contents in browsers in this blog post or by clicking on the links above.

On the Performance tab, you can turn on and off the visualization of our measurements about the steps by clicking on their name.
